Company History
Genwest was founded in 1981, with our foundational work in information management within oil spill response. This began with the precursors to GIS, translating field operational data to information and visualizations to inform and improve response decisions and outcomes. Over time, our tasking has expanded to include diverse tasking within and outside the emergency management space and community, but we have maintained our core functionality and specialized skills within emergency management and response, including ICS training, software development, drill planning and training, and on-scene response.
