Company Overview
The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is located at the City of Santa Monica's Public Safety Facility.
The EOC is central command for large scale events, emergencies or disasters in Santa Monica.
Areas of command are divided into five sections based on the Standard Emergency Management Systems (SEMS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS); Management, Operations, Planning, Logistics and Finance.
Sections are staffed by high level City of Santa Monica employees and partnering agencies.
The Office of Emergency Management's (OEM) purpose is to protect the community of Santa Monica from the loss of life and property in the event of a natural or man made disaster.
Our Objective
To prepare residents, businesses, visitors, city employees, local organizations and others to respond to and recover from incidents and emergencies.
The Office of Emergency Management will provide educational material, trainings, speakers, planning guidance and other resources to make Santa Monica the most disaster resilient community in Southern California.
The Office of Emergency Management strives to empower the community of Santa Monica through disaster awareness education and hands-on preparedness trainings.
