Inspira Health, the region’s leading network of healthcare providers, is seeking a full-time Paramedic (Nights) to join our Grand Transportation team in Vineland, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for providing prehospital Advanced Life Support to victims of sudden illness or injury in the designated service areas of the EMS system and provide appropriate mutual aid assistance when requested by adjacent ALS services. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all ages, inclusive of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics in the ALS and Critical Care environments. This position offers a pay range of $34.11 - $47.76 per hour.

Responsibilities:

•       Provide ALS care to patients of all ages in accordance with the standards set forth by the Department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum, the guidelines of the American Heart Association, the American College of Surgeons, the New Jersey State Department of Health - Office of Emergency Medical Services (Chapter 41 of the New Jersey Administrative Code) and EMS Department Policy
•       Perform all basic life support skills as required under N.J.A.C. 8:40, making effective use of time and completing work accurately with the highest possible productivity
•       Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to access data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information to identify each patient’s requirement relative to their age-specific needs
•       Perform additional assigned work safely and report to supervisor in a timely manner any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to patients, staff and visitors
•       Maintain clean and orderly work area and report any problems, failures or damages to supervisor and/or take appropriate action

Qualifications:

•       High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred
•       Valid driver’s license in the State of New Jersey
•       1+ years of related work experience preferred
•       Current New Jersey Paramedic certification (or eligible for certification through reciprocity), as recognized by the NJ Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services (N.J.A.C. 8:41A)
•       AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
•       Preferred certifications: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support or International Trauma Life Support; CCEMT-P: Critical Care Emergency Transport Paramedic (CAPCE or University of Maryland UMBC Only); CCP-C: Critical Care Paramedic (IBSC Only); FP-C: Flight Paramedic Certified (IBSC Only)
